I suspect that the move to off farm food - food ingredients being produced in automated factories via fermentation etc. - will have a bigger impact on the future of farming. This is not so much about consumer choice and more about the manufacturers of processed foods choosing to buy from a secure, reliable (and probably cheaper) supplier than the farmer who faces challenges of weather, disease and labour. But for sure, however food is produced, AI will be a part of that future
